Big Game Species near VALLEY CREEK LODGE

Our central location in Stanley is ideal for accessing big game hunting in the Sawtooth and Salmon Regions. We are located in Unit 36. Units 27, 36-A 36-B and 37 are nearby. These hunting units include thousands of square miles of U.S. Forest Service and BLM lands, including the Sawtooth Wilderness and the Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness areas.
Besides Deer and Elk, hunting opportunities also exist for Black Bear, Antelope and Mountain Lion hunting.
With less than 5% of our entire county privately owned, almost all the land in our vicinity is public and open to hunters.
Many hundreds of miles of back roads and trails wind through all of this region with the exception of the wilderness area, where there are no roads.
